In pursuit Of the Perfect Man

This poem is dated June 27 2005. I think it was written in jest as a reflection to things..

Life is difficult as it is
Add to that marriage and responsibilities
There are things I cant help and things that I can
I am in pursuit of the Perfect Man

He should be sensitive and fun
As long as for him I am the only one
For my family he should care
To do crazy things he should dare

Let him be intelligent and confident
Have the dreams to be the president
Let him do and not just say
Let him keep his insecurities at bay

He will make me laugh all the time
To make me cry would be a crime
Give me gifts, spoil me bad
Surprise me but oh! dont be a cad

These are my specs on the perfect man
As you see, I ask, for as little as i can
With these in my mind I go a looking
Little do I know what God is a-cooking

Introduction

While reviewing my old folders recently I found a number of poems I had written at different points in my life. I thought this would be a nice place to keep the small collection so I don't loose it.
I am only an amateur writer so these poems should not be viewed in the same light as poems by other great poets, this blog is merely an extension to my other blog - All Things Considered - in that it only contains random musings of my poetic mind.
With that..I welcome you to enjoy these poems with a light frame of mind but no plagarism please! All these poems belong to me, if you wish to use them please ask me before doing so.
